At 18, Molly was Greenpeace's youngest intern. She helped build a campaign against oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. It reached the Obama administration.

What began as a research presentation on oil corporations and their environmental impact grew into something that moved. The campaign against drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge became one of Greenpeace's most successful of that period, and it reached the Obama administration at a moment when the political will to protect the refuge was in play.

Around the same time she helped build the campaign against palm oil plantation expansion in the Sumatran rainforest, working alongside Rainforest Action Network to bring that story into public view.

She also helped organize the 2013 march and protest of the Keystone XL pipeline across the Golden Gate Bridge, alongside Greenpeace and 350.org. Thousands of people came. Press came from around the world.

She was 18. It taught her that stories, when they are the right stories told at the right moment, can move governments. She has been trying to find those stories ever since.
